Studying

Seek Knowledge = Studying

The pain of study is only for a moment, but the pain of not having studied is forever.”

I was amazed when I first encountered this quote. It is because it answered one of the greatest misgiving in my life: Why should I acquire knowledge and get good grade? And these days, the tangible instances frequently have appeared. It was not long ago that I see the great example, proven the statement above. The day that I learned the meaningful lesson was when my relatives came over to my house for ancestral rites. There, I was possibly able to classify a person who studied and did not. One of my cousins, who went to Seoul University, achieved the position of being CEO in one of the big Korean companies. Yet, my other relative, who used to hang out the day before the Korean SAT, always begged a help from others for his own living. This also led to the meaning of this quote, “happiness is not proportional to the academic achievement, but sucess is,” In other terms, I realized how academic record hugely affect our entire life. This brutal lesson taught me one of most significant theme within human’s life. Furthermore, I became aware of the reason why it was possible for bourgeois French people (in 18th century) to successfully revolt against the corrupted throne, first and second estate.
