The second time ever trying our for debating competition taught many essential lessons. First, it indoctrinate me to know the great necessity on practicing a formal speech when every time there is a controversial issue. It basically means that I need to continue practicing providing the speech, not reading off from the script. Secondly, through the four series of debating, I certainly feel the negative consequences, caused by “a day before completing task” – the process where individuals resist doing their assignments right away, but rather put aside the work and complete in one day. In my perspective, I have never gained any true learning from this kind of study habit. Therefore, it is absolutely necessary for me to fix this bad quality of studying habit. Or else, I would fail to flourish not only in the debating field, but also the school relevant criteria. Last, but not least, it truly gives a great lesson on the reason why so many people have said “Books should not be judge by their cover”. This explains about the fact that how the value of people shouldn’t be based upon their physical appearance. These days, I have envied so much of pretty and good looking famous with an eye- bigger than one dollar coin in US- , pointy nose. However, I became aware the importance of beauty of intelligence- how it is attractive to be knowledgeable and thrived in one of the areas in education field. The competitor from second debate session had made me to feel like that. She has not had fairly pretty eyes. It was normal enough. Indeed, her body was not as slim as pepero stick. It was rather a bit of chubby, sorry to say. However, her flourishing skills on debating convinced myself that quality is more important than quantity. By seeing that, I believe that Min Ji Kim, myself, should try hard on acquiring knowledge and managing her time well, rather than buying cosmetic makeup tools.
p.s. It became a bit of speech format, but I won’t care since it is my blog that i can write anything!:)
